Federal Member of Parliament Marc-Aurèle Fortin visited Horizon Foundation Quebec in Laval for a meeting lasting nearly one hour.
Representatives of the Foundation briefed Mr. Fortin on Horizon Foundation Quebec’s activities and community initiatives, including welcoming and supporting newcomers to Canada, weekend schools, kermes events, cultural gatherings, competitions, and sports activities within the Turkish community.
During the visit, Mr. Fortin presented two certificates to youth volunteers in recognition of their participation in the summer employment program supported by Canadian Tire.
Mr. Fortin expressed his appreciation for the contributions of the Turkish community and shared his commitment to supporting Horizon Foundation Quebec’s upcoming activities.
As a gesture of friendship and as a memento of the visit, a traditional Turkish coffee set was presented to Mr. Fortin.
The visit highlighted the importance of community engagement, cultural exchange, and collaboration in building a stronger and more inclusive Canadian society.
